Privacy policy

Chowkly is a product operated by Svaith Labs LLP, which is responsible for the information described in this policy. “We” and “us” below mean Svaith Labs LLP.

Information from business owners

• Your name, WhatsApp number, email, city and business details, when you sign up or contact us.
• Everything you add to your page: business name, address, map location, timings, items, prices, photos, payment details you choose to show (such as your UPI ID), licence numbers and social links. This information is shown publicly on your page because that is its purpose.
• Your owner-panel PIN, stored only as a scrambled (hashed) value that we cannot read.
• Payment status and Razorpay payment references. Razorpay handles card, UPI and bank details; we never see them.

Information from customers who visit a Chowkly page

• We do not ask customers to create an account and we do not store their orders. When a customer sends an order or booking, the details they type (name, address, date, note) go from their phone into WhatsApp, and they choose to send the message to the business.
• To save typing next time, the customer's name, address and cart are remembered only in their own browser. They can clear this by clearing their browser data.
• Pages show a Google map and load fonts from Google, so Google may receive the visitor's IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy.

Analytics on chowkly.com

On our own website (chowkly.com and our sample pages) we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and buttons help businesses sign up. It sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details, which Google processes under its privacy policy. We do not send names, phone numbers or anything typed into forms to Google Analytics. We do not use Google Analytics on the pages of businesses that use Chowkly. You can block it with your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

How we use information

Only to set up and run your page, provide the owner panel, take payments, give support, and tell you about important changes. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your content for advertising without your permission.

Where it is stored and who helps us

• Page data and sign-ups: Google Sheets in our Google account. Photos: Google Drive, shared by link so they can show on your page.
• Website hosting: Vercel. Payments: Razorpay. Messages: WhatsApp and email.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep your page data while your page is active. If you cancel, we take your page down and delete its data and photos within 30 days, except payment records we must keep for accounting and legal reasons. You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by writing to info.chowkly@gmail.com from the email or WhatsApp number linked to your page.

Security

Owner panels are protected by a PIN, wrong PINs are rate-limited, and all pages are served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your PIN private.

Children

Chowkly is a service for businesses and is not meant for children under 18.
